Choose the closure type: drawstring + flap, buckle flap, roll-top, or zipper flap. 3. Select planning materials and request swatches for main fabric, lining, webbing, and hardware. 4. Confirm logo method and ask whether it uses stock or custom components. 5. Send the RFQ checklist to shortlisted suppliers and compare MOQ, sample cost, timeline, QC scope, and packaging risk. 6. Approve material swatches, logo sample, development sample, PPS, and packed sample where needed before bulk production.
Do not approve bulk production until closure function, strap attachment, lining tear risk, hardware finish, logo placement, and packaging requirements are checked against the approved sample. For custom backpacks, the safest sourcing process is written approval at every stage: artwork, material, component, sample, QC checklist, and final packed product.
